Conductor
Vladimir Sirenko is being regarded
by some of the media as one of the best young
conductors of our time. The French press L'Ortvu
puts him in the same category of brilliant
conductors as Esa-Pekka Salonen (LA Symphony) and
Simon Rattle.
He was born in the Poltava region in the Ukraine
on November 1, 1960. He studied conducting at the
Tchaikovsky Conservatory and in 1990 he won the
International Conducting Competition in Prague,
Czechoslovakia. Since 1991 he has the Music
Director for the Ukrainian State Radio and
Television Symphony Orchestra.
He has appeared as guest conductor with many
orchestras in Europe and the US.
